The Jumblies preschool room is the main room, divided into several areas, including: wet play area; home corner; creative table; mathematical area. In the baby and toddler room, with soft play area, children are able to develop their basic motor skills and gain confidence, while exploring their surroundings using all their senses. Our outside area, with its beautiful views down the river is freely accessible for the children for most of the day. Twice a week the children and staff use the Zed Shed for dance, games and exercise sessions.
The children are regularly taken on small outings to the park, library and sensory room. We also use the Zed Shed for our Christmas Nativity and Summer Sports Day, to which all parents are invited.
Please email us using the form below for more information or if you would like to have a look at the nursery or we can be contacted on 01326 376587.
Jumblies Day Nursery moved from the church hall in Penryn into the current premises on Jubilee Wharf in October 2006. The nursery is a registered charity, run by a volunteer parent committee.
The nursery has 32 spaces. Our baby and toddler room has space for 6 children under the age of two years. Our qualified and experienced baby and toddler room leader, together with a qualified nursery assistant care for the children in these rooms. Our preschool room has spaces for up to 26 children. Up to 6 members of staff, all qualified and experienced, work in this room.
We work to the statutory framework of regulations for the EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE - to set the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five. All our staff access a minimum of 24 hours of training per year.
